The Helmer UltraCW is an automatic cell washer designed to standardize red-cell washing cycles used in blood-bank serology. It combines controlled saline delivery, centrifugation and decanting in a compact benchtop instrument.
Tube capacity depends on the installed rotor, and voltage, rotor, tubing and saline accessories vary by unit. Refurbishment verification should cover the rotor and lid interlock, pump delivery, wash/decant cycle, controls and electrical safety.
