The Heraeus Labofuge 400 is a general-purpose benchtop centrifuge for routine research, biology and medical laboratory applications. Hi-Tech's refurbished-instrument catalog lists a 28-blood-tube swing-out configuration with a maximum speed of 4,000 rpm. The photographed unit includes a four-place swing-out rotor with Heraeus #8172 buckets and green inserts.
The wider Labofuge 400 platform can reach higher speeds with compatible fixed-angle rotors; those system maximums must not be applied to the stocked swing-out rotor. EASYcontrol II operation provides adjustable speed and timed or continuous runs.
